"The Sentinel of Liberty: The 1917-S Standing Liberty Quarter" is a captivating monochrome portrayal of one of the most iconic coins in American numismatic history. This early artwork of mine holds a special significance, as it was one of my first attempts at drawing a coin after my inaugural Lincoln cent piece.
 
As I reflect on this piece, I notice the distinct difference in my artistic style between the obverse and reverse, which were completed about a year and a half apart. This contrast serves as a fascinating reminder of my artistic growth and development during that period.
 
Despite being an early work, The Sentinel of Liberty remains a popular piece among collectors and enthusiasts. While I haven't yet had the opportunity to create a full-color version, I'm grateful for the demand that has kept me busy with commissions.
