Archival print standards
Every print begins with a studio master file built from professionally scanned artwork. Each drawing is digitized at high resolution, refined for tone and detail, and prepared specifically for pigment-based printing on museum-grade substrates.
We now produce all editions using true pigment inks rather than dye-based systems. Pigment printing offers superior stability, deeper blacks, and more nuanced tonal transitions—critical for conveying the micro-detail and surface character of rare coins.
Prints are made on heavyweight, 100% cotton rag papers chosen for their smooth surface, natural white, and fully archival construction. These museum-quality substrates, combined with pigment inks, deliver exceptional fidelity, depth, and permanence while resisting yellowing, bronzing, or color shift over time.
When stored or displayed under proper conditions, pigment prints on rag papers are rated for archival longevity measured in centuries, retaining both their tonal structure and color balance far beyond the lifespan of conventional photo prints. Collectors can expect a print that honors the original drawing and is appropriate for long-term display or portfolio preservation.
